DescriptionIn September 1947, Takeda was released to the custody of his attorney Wayne Collins, a leading civil liberties lawyer who represented both Nisei and Japanese Peruvians. Collins arranged for Takeda to be sent to Seabrook Farms awaiting a decision on his legal status.
