DescriptionPainting of the second church building on the current site of the Bergen Reformed Church, which replaced the older "octagonal church." It was built in 1773, and served the congregation until the current church was built in 1841.
During October, 1910 Jersey City celebrated the 250th Anniversary of its founding as the town of Bergen by the Dutch in 1660. This is one of a series of commemorative postcards, many attributed to "Bergen Camera Exchange," depicting historic scenes and places.
