DescriptionRichard Cleveland. Eldest son, and fourth of five children, of Frances Folsom Cleveland and President Grover Cleveland. Born Oct. 28, 1897, Princeton, New Jersey. Died Jan. 10, 1974. Born just 7 months after the Clevelands left the White House. Marine Corp, WWI. Princeton graduate 1919, Masters in 1921. Harvard law degree, 1924. Two marriages of which 6 children were born. Richard served as the lawyer for Whitaker Chambers in the late 1940s, in a historic case, which revealed Alger Hiss as a communist spy. Richard spent his last years in Baltimore, MD. Survived by his children, Richard died at age 76.
