DescriptionColor-tinted postcard of Ravine Lake, which straddles the border of Peapack and Far Hills. The inscription reads: "Dear Alfred, I have taken Chester Vice to an industrial school - please write him a nice letter. The poor [lad?] will be homesick for a while but it will do him a world of good. He has four hours a day for study and four for work. His address is Chester Vice, S. Bernard School, Gladstone, NJ. Yours, CRK"
St. Bernard's School eventually merged with the Gill School to become the Gill St. Bernards's School.
The postcard is postmarked Hackensack, NJ, May 22, 1906 and is addressed to Mr. Alfred M. [Proless?], Grand and [Elise?] Ave, Hackensack, NJ. Published by the Atlas Society, NY and printed in Germany.
