Detail: Aerial view of Seabrook with Hoover Village on the right (top corner). Hoover Village was built in 1944 to provide additional housing for the overflow of people who arrived after the apartments built by the Federal Public Housing Act had been occupied. Hoover Village Annex, which was built in 1946, can be seen between the apartments and Hoover Village. West Village, with its 80 houses, was built on the west side of state Highway 77 on Parsonage Road, leasing to supervisory employees only. The next set of houses (left of West Village) were the Gunnison houses which were built on concrete slabs and were ready for occupancy in 1952. Aeriel picture taken on September 6, 1951.
