DescriptionThis photograph of the St. John's Ladies Aide Society dates to approximately 1934. As demonstrated by the outdoor setting as well as by the women's short sleeves, this image was taken in Egg Harbor City during the spring or summer.
The women are nicely attired, some with pearls and hats. Although senior citizens and middle-aged women comprise most of the Ladies Aide Society, young members are clearly present. One young woman, seated at bottom center, strongly stands out among her peers, eclipsing even the Reverend.
