DescriptionA conversation among members of the Ewha Family; Alice Appenzeller, Marie Church, Marion Conrow, Jeannete Hulbert, Esther Hulbert, Mary Young, Alice Kim Jung, Laura Ye, Edna Van Fleet, Moneta Troxel, Mytra Stover, Charlotte Brownlee, Poksun Ha-Yi, Helen Kim. The conversation begins discussing the need for English language teachers at the school. As more members enter the conversation, the discussion begins to include the other subjects being taught and the lack of faculty and time. Music, biology, and language teaching responsibilities are split among the members, often times getting in the way of individual leisure, endeavors, and responsibilities. This discussion of overwork and full schedules leads to a discussion on the number of students at the school, as members suggests dividing the Kindergarten school as well as combining classes into single classrooms. The members are reassured by their understanding that teaching is a service to the country, and efforts to hire new teachers in order to maintain religious education are agreed upon.
