Robert E. Hagelin, who stands second from the left in this image, won the category for the best full beard as well as the grand prize, a Ronson electric shaver. The other winners were: Walter Kendall, best goatee; Robert M. Hagelin, best mutton chop; and George Zimmer, best-trimmed beard.
This photograph appeared on the front page of the July 21 edition of The News of Egg Harbor City.
