DescriptionBlack and white photo postcard of Horse Carriage Parade and Children's Home on Somerset Street.

Circa 1885. The school was a direct descendant of the old Lancasterian School, ans was funded by the overseers of that school after it closed in the 1850s. The fanciful structure stood on Somerset Street near Prospect Street until about 1960. In later years a large addition was put on the left of the structure to accommodate a growing enrollment.
