DescriptionThe Council for Human Services in New Jersey, formerly known as the New Jersey Conference of Social Work, was an umbrella group for social welfare agencies and social workers in the state. In this paper given at the Council's annual conference, a social worker at the Newark Department of Child Hygiene discusses difficulties faced by the children of immigrant parents. The Conference was held on December 4, 5, 6, 1930, in the Winfield Scott Hotel, Elizabeth, New Jersey.
