DescriptionThe following information and photograph were from a wall display presentation in Egg Harbor City, NJ, in honor of the women who served in the Armed Forces of the United States. The museum presentation was prepared for Memorial Day 2001, and remained until the end of the year. The photos were mounted on red construction paper and the narrative placed on white paper stars. Both were mounted on a blue background.
Julia Yanhko Lott (U. S. Marine Corps Women's Reserve) began her life as a Marine in December 1943. She served 18 months in Engine Overhaul, repairing aircraft engines on the assembly line in MCAS Cherry Point, NC. She was transferred to El Torro, CA where she spent 6 months in a Radio Shop before being discharged as a Corporal in December 1945.
