DescriptionThis is a colorful poster advertising a Belarusian folk festival to be presented by the Garden State Arts Center on Saturday, May 19, 1979. This poster designed by Irene Rahalewicz is mostly red (which is the color of most of the Belarusian flag) with white, and black, and popular Belarusian patterns. On the bottom of the poster is the phone number to the Garden State Arts Center and a list of the following features of the festival: sports activities, art exhibits, stage performance, and ethnic food. This poster signifies a thriving Belarusian culture within the New Jersey area in the late 1970s.
