DescriptionThornley Chapel is named for Dr. James H. Thornley, the first superintendent of the Ocean Grove Sabbath School. Dr. Thornley is credited with recommending a separate building on the Camp Meeting grounds specifically for junior services. The chapel, which was opened on June 30, 1889, hosts the community's daily Children's Meetings and is a popular wedding site. Thornley Chapel is located on the corner of Pilgrim Pathway and Mt. Tabor Way.
