Daniel V. Dunham was born in Middlesex County, NJ, and worked as a farmer prior to the war. He was enrolled on September 4th, 1862, for a 9 month term, and was mustered in on September 22nd, 1862. He was mustered out on July 6, 1863. He was likely still an inhabitant of Middlesex County during the war, as his wife received subsistence pay from the County of Middlesex.
