DescriptionJune 23, 1953, 127 proud newly naturalizes citizens took theit oath as new citizens of the USA at the auditorium of the Seabrook Community House beacuase the county court house was not large enough. The oath was administered by Judge David Horuvitz. This event took place because of the the Walter McCarren Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1952. Sponosrs of this bill were Congressman Francis E. Walter of Pennsylvania and Senator Pat McCarren of Nevada. This group was instructed by Mr. and Mts. Herbert Brauer of Shoemaker Post #95 of Drigeton, NJ.
