DescriptionThe Crazy Quilt Block pattern has many variations. The quilt is made of crazy shaped pieces stitched to a foundation fabric. The piecing can embellished or not embellished. Embroidery, ribbons, lace, braids, buttons, beads, and charms are added to give dimension and beauty to the crazy patchwork. Four separate foundation pieced blocks make up this quilt wall hanging. The soft, muted colors in the fabrics, with images of nature and dragonflies, were the inspiration for this quilt project. A small dragonfly patch was used for the center of each block. The dragonfly is symbolic for transformation and spirit. Various materials for embellishment were selected for added dimension.
