DescriptionThis photgraphic postcard show the remains of the Egg Harbor City Piano Factory. This building was built by the city to house a piano factory which never came to the city. It housed several small businesses and agricultural society before it was torn down. The property was bought by the Egg Harbor City Electric Light Company and the building was torn down. The Electric Light Company erected it's own building on a portion of the foundation.
Across the bottom of this postcard is the following; Egg Harbor City Piano Factory. Erection commenced 1859. Used for various factory purposes and was demolished in 1895 by Order of the City Authorities.
