DescriptionGrand Street branch of the Paterson Free Public Library was the crowning achievement of Board President William D. Blauvelt. He dedicated a great deal of his time to secure the funding needed to erect this art-deco style building. Note the books in hands frieze. Sadly before the library was complete, Mr. Blauvelt passed away. This building was razed in the mid-1990s. Today it is a vacant lot, circa 1930.
