DescriptionThe card is captioned on the bottom , "Carnival Parade August 15, '14, Egg Harbor City, N.J.". Horse drawn wagons in the Carnival Parade in Egg Harbor City on August 15, 1914. The parade seems to be going down a tree lined residential street with two story houses on the left side. This appears to be a group of veterans, Civil War, and possibly Spanish-American War. The wagons are wrapped in what appears to be striped material or paper banners. An American flag is seen prominently from the first wagon containing Mr. Ertell, "Fritzie" Boling, the son of Eli Boling, and another veteran with a G.A.R. medal on his jacket. At far left is a soldier wearing a World War I uniform before the upcoming war. The card was sent by Frank Liable on June 29, 1915.
