DescriptionThis photograph of the Brothers of the Brush was taken outside of the Egg Harbor City Centennial Headquarters at 141 Philadelphia Ave. A total of ten men assembled for this group photograph.
Many, if not all, of the men in this photograph belonged to a spedial division of the Brothers of the Brush known as the Keystone cops. The duty of the Keystone cops was as festive as it was fun; the cops enforced the Centennial shaving ban by locking offenders in the public stockade. Robert E. Hagelin cheerfully served as the Kangaroo Court judge.
