Name: Finding a Place on the Farm: Life at Seabrook
Detail: During World War II, Seabrook Farms was among the top producers of canned and frozen goods, requiring the labor of thousands from a diverse workforce. In Seabrookâs version of the company town, housing and other social services were available, allowing residents from different cultures to form live-in communities where both individuals and families strove to embody an American identity, multiculturalism being simultaneously embraced and discouraged.
