DescriptionMarion Cleveland. Third daughter, and third of five children, of Frances Folsom Cleveland and President Grover Cleveland. Born July 7, 1895, Buzzard's Bay Massachusetts. Died June 15, 1977, NY, NY. Buried Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, New Jersey. First Marriage, 1917 to Stanley Dell; in Princeton NJ; of which one daughter was born. Second marriage, 1926 to John Harlan Amen; of which one son was born. Marion's second husband, Colonel John Harlan Amen, served as Assistant Attorney General of New York State and was a member of the U.S. legal staff at the Nuremberg war crimes trials in Germany. Marion was co-chairman of the Democrats for La Guardia in the mayor's 1937 re-election campaign and also spent 17 years as Community Relations Advisor to the Girl Scouts of America. This is Marion's debut photo. She died in New York at age 81. Predeceased by her husbands and survived by her children.
