DescriptionThis photograph of the Egg Harbor City Centennial Queen, Rosemarie Pachioli, is labeled 13JUL1955.
Pachioli is formally attired in a pretty, gauzy gown. A pageant-style sash crosses her bodice. She is also wearing a crown and holding a scepter, indicating that this photograph was taken in honor of her coronation as Miss Centennial Queen.
This image was taken in the all-purpose room of the high school, now known as the Fanny D. Rittenberg School. Pachioli is seated in a plain, painted brick room, surrounded by rural decorative items including a sculpted rooster, artificial sunflowers, and a wooden cider press.
Mrs. Willam Grubb stands behind Pachioli, modestly backed to the right of the picture. She is clearly camera shy, but willing to be photographed with the Centennial Queen.
