DescriptionThis is a studio portrait of Mina Breder Stooks, who was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. She graduated from the Atlantic City Hospital School of Nursing, a platoon leader during basic training; her duty station was the orthopedic ward in Tilton General Hospital, Fort Dix, NJ.
This photo was part of a wall display presentation in honor of the women who served in the Armed Forces of the United States. The museum presentation was prepared for Memorial Day 2001, and remained until the end of the year. The photos were mounted on red construction paper and the narrative placed on white paper stars. Both were mounted on a blue background.
