DescriptionKatz Brothers Brewery located at 83 Straight Street. Paterson was home to five prominent brewing firms which supplied beer solely for this region. Philip and Bernard bought out the Burton Brewing Company in 1877 and made the business thrive. Their XXX and Canada malt ale were in high demand for their time. In 1888 the brewery was enlarged for the manufacture of larger beer. Photographer: Heinrichs Brothers
