DescriptionThe Chinese Coins quilt pattern was selected for the simplicity of a linear design. This quilt was made from colorful batik fat quarters (18” x 21” precut fabric) cut into strips of 2.5” x 21”, and sewn together to make strip sets. The strip sets were cut into units. The units were stitched together to make a column. Four columns were created for this quilt top, then assembled with contrasting navy sashing and borders. A meandering design was used to quilt the columns of strip sets and three rows of straight stitching were added to the sashing and borders.
