DescriptionThis story was narrated by G.W. Clark, an ex-slave who escaped to the North. The story is about a group of slaves who were freed by their dying masters last will and testament, but never received their freedom. In protest to their mistreatment they burnt down a farm hous and in the process killed a young girl. Two of the slaves were hung while the rest were burnt to death in their log cabin.
