The guide compiles six separate inventories created by Don Messina, who digitized the recordings detailed in the guide. It includes a unique identifier for each recording, date, personnel, instrumentation, recording location, information about the original media carrier, song titles, related commercial releases, and commentary by Messina. Messina, a jazz bassist, performed with Mosca and worked closely with his associates and descendants to gather and research the recordings and create the guide.
