Chinese Exclusion in New Jersey – a digital exhibit

Only One Barred OutThe Chinese Exclusion Act (1882-1943) barred Chinese laborers from entering the United States.  This exhibit, “Chinese Exclusion in New Jersey: Immigration Law in the Past and Present,” documents the effects of exclusion on Chinese individuals and communities in New Jersey.
