DescriptionThis postcard is addressed to Miss A. Hovan, 346 W. 24th St., New York, N.Y. and is inscribed: “Dear Anna, This is a picture of our house. Where you see the mark is our windows. Hope you are getting along alright. Don’t work too hard. Antonia is doing nicely and sleeps better. Let us hear from you. Lovingly, Lottie”. Maple Cottage on Peapack Road was operated as a convalescent home by Mrs. Walter G. Ladd, without charge to working women. It was the predecessor to the Kate Macy Ladd Home. The postcard is postmarked Peapack, although the date is obscured.
