DescriptionThis photograph of the Grandi Family was taken on Indian Rock in Haledon, New Jersey. There are 5 men, 4 women, and one child pictured. The Grandi Family is another example of many European immigrants that settled in Paterson's suburbs.
The American Labor Museum online collection includes historical documents and photos. The objects document the domestic lifestyles, working experience in textile factories, and labor union activity of working class immigrant families of Paterson, NJ and environs, ca. 1890 - 1920. Also documented are activities of the Textile Workers' Union of America (TWUA), the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers' Union of America (ACTWU), and textile union leader Sol Stetin.
